Res. Asst. Tuğba Gökbayır Participated in Turkologentag 2025 within the Scope of the Erasmus Mobility Program

The 5th European Conference on Turkology, Ottoman and Turkish Studies (Turkologentag 2025), organized biennially by different host universities, was held between 18–20 September 2025 at the Department of Turkology, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, in cooperation with the Society for Turkology, Ottoman and Turkish Studies.

Our department’s Research Assistant Tuğba Gökbayır participated in the conference with her paper entitled “Syntactic Valency Structures of Synonymous Verbs in Tatar Turkish.” In her presentation, she examined the syntactic valency patterns of synonymous verbs in Tatar Turkish within a theoretical and descriptive framework.

Res. Asst. Gökbayır attended the conference within the scope of the Erasmus Staff Training Mobility, carried out at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz between 15–20 September 2025. As a prominent international academic event, Turkologentag 2025 provided an important platform for interdisciplinary scholarly exchange in the fields of Turkology, Ottoman, and Turkish studies.
