Our Department Chair Prof. Dr. Ercan ALKAYA’s Academic Contacts in Kazakhstan

Our Department Chair Prof. Dr. Ercan ALKAYA participated in the doctoral defense of Jansaya Pansat, a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Philology of Shymkent Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University, where he serves as foreign advisor. Taking part in the jury, Prof. Dr. Ercan ALKAYA provided academic contributions through his evaluations and scholarly assessments regarding the candidate’s research.

Within the scope of his visit, Prof. Dr. Ercan ALKAYA also delivered a seminar for the academic staff and doctoral students of the Faculty of Philology. During the seminar, he shared contemporary approaches and research methodologies related to his field, creating an opportunity for productive scientific exchange. The program attracted considerable attention from faculty members and fostered mutual discussion.

In addition to his academic engagements, Prof. Dr. Ercan ALKAYA conducted visits and observations in the cities of Shymkent, Otrar, Sayram, and Turkistan. These trips enabled assessments concerning the historical and cultural heritage of the region and offered valuable insights for studies on the Turkic world.
