Gulzat Almakhova and Araılym Yergabylova, doctoral students at L. N. Gumilev Eurasian National University in Kazakhstan and international advisees of Prof. Dr. Ercan Alkaya, a faculty member of our department, have joined our department for a one-month academic internship program.

Throughout the internship period, the doctoral students are expected to participate actively in the academic activities conducted within our department, attend courses and seminars, and gain practical experience in scientific research processes. The program aims to contribute to their academic and professional development while providing them with the opportunity to become familiar with different research environments and methodologies.

During their visit, the students met with members of our academic staff and exchanged views on their doctoral research in the fields of Kazakh language and literature. They also had the opportunity to discuss contemporary academic approaches and current research trends in the field.

The internship program is expected to make a significant contribution to strengthening higher education cooperation between Türkiye and Kazakhstan, as well as enhancing mutual academic exchange in the field of Turkic World philology. Furthermore, the visit is anticipated to reinforce the scientific and cultural ties between the two institutions and to lay the groundwork for future collaborative academic projects and research activities.
